We founded Physio Field Guide because we have a passion for evidence-based education. Our goal is to provide tools to physical therapists with real value and no fluff by drawing from our background as educators and generally busy people who needed efficient study aids.
Dr. David Smelser, PT, DPT
Dr. Austin Kercheville, PT, DPT
Dr. Kercheville graduated with his DPT from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and since then he has been working for a private outpatient orthopedic clinic in Chattanooga. Dr. Kercheville recognized the need for more efficient physical therapy study aids when he was preparing for his OCS while simultaneously carrying a full caseload, working as a CI for a student physical therapist, and preparing for the birth of his first child. Austin's goal is to create tools to help therapists whose study time was as limited as his was.
Dr. Lisa Griffin, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Lisa has been practicing for six years in Boston and central Massachusetts. She completed her undergraduate degree, DPT, and fellowship training at Boston University and is now a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Dr. Terry Downey, PT, DPT
Terry earned his DPT from Simmons University in Boston. He currently works for Spaulding Rehabilitation Network on Cape Cod and for Spaulding Adaptive Sports Programs.
Dr. Brandon Stanley, PT, DPT
Brandon earned his DPT from Campbell University and is now a private-practice business owner in South Carolina.
Kelley Newsad, PT, MPT
Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy
Kelley graduated from The Ohio State University in 2005 and has been practicing in orthopedics for 15 years. She first passed the OCS exam in 2011 and is in the process of recertification. In addition to being a board-certified specialist, Kelley is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy. A proud navy wife, Kelley has held licenses in six states and territories and currently practices in the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Francesca Petrey, PT, DPT
Francesca has been a supporter since January of 2021 and is well on her way to passing the OCS exam.
Dr. K. Suzanne Leach, PT, DPT
Suzanne graduated from the University of Evansville with her DPT in 2019 and completed Rehabilitation and Performance Institute’s orthopaedic residency in 2020.
